Creative Commons

Creative Commons offers a legal alternative to extend copyright. It’s a simple, standardized way to grant copyright permission from individual creators to large companies and institutions as to their creative work. Creative Commons also develops, supports, and stewards legal and technical infrastructure that maximizes digital creativity, sharing and innovation. The Creative Commons licenses enable people to easily change their copyright terms from the default of “all rights reserved” to “some rights reserved.” -- Creative Commons
